Our light, bright, licensed cafe serves vegetarian and vegan food from good sources at good prices. We’re not totally organic (although all our dairy and many of our other ingredients are) or local (although many of our suppliers are, including Essential Trading Co-operative, and East Bristol Bakery and Edible Futures, who deliver by bike). But we work with suppliers who share our values and avoid those who don’t. The standard menu is here, but we have a range of specials every day too.
We serve Clifton Coffee Company’s single origin coffee, beers from Butcombe Brewery and Bristol Beer Factory, as well as spirits, wine, juices, teas and soft drinks. We also do a mean vegan affogato and our signature coffee, the Ventoux Fuel (espresso, brown sugar, smooth steamed milk, brandy and nutmeg).
We use Middle Eastern khobez bread to wrap crunchy homemade falafel, pan-fried halloumi and succulent roast veg, or Mexican tortillas for quesadilla and quick cold wraps which are easy to grab on the go.
The Soul Burger is a herby, hearty, handful of goodness, served with fresh salads and homemade relish and vegan mayo.
For a more leisurely lunch or dinner, our mezze and other platters are big enough for sharing. Any dish can be eaten in or taken away. Oh, and the double-fried chips are good.
There are plenty of cakes, bakes, treats and snacks too, including lots of dairy-free options like Radek’s chocolates. Everything’s veggie and around half of the menu is vegan. If you think that might not satisfy you, we invite you to come for a khobez and see if you still fancy a kebab later.
