#6 Talk - Peter Walker, Bike Nation: How Cycling Can Save The World

Location:
Date: 09/14/2017
Time: 19:00 to 21:00

Peter Walker is a political correspondent for the Guardian and edits its award-winning Bike Blog.

Peter's latest book, Bike Nation: How Cycling Can Save The World, explains how rebuilding towns and cities for everyday cycling makes them healthier, more equal and built around the needs of human beings, not anonymous, speeding metal boxes. It also explains why cycling gets such negative media coverage – and why bike helmets are not the solution to safety worries.

Chris Boardman: "Peter Walker has written the book I wanted to write."
Jeremy Vine: "If we are at a turning point for cycling in big cities, this book is it."

Free entry, so no excuse not to come and see one of the UK's most prominent cycling commentators.
