Sunday afternoon funk! Errol’s Kitchen live, May 4

errolErrol’s Kitchen is Bristol’s newest, exciting funk quartet. And they’ll be playing a Sunday afternoon show at RftS on May 4, from 3pm to 4pm.

A collaboration between guitarist Neil Smith (Brackish/Roots Prescription) and saxophonist Dino Christodoulou (Milon/Helele), both coming from the jazz school of improvisation and with Stefano Manfredi (Manfredi Funk Initiative/Butter) and Anthony “Errol” Flynn (The Duckworths/Organ3man) combining a locked down heavy funk groove but with the expressiveness of modern jazz drummers such as Elvin Jones. The band was born under the alias of Tour De Funk to add a bit of funk to the Magical Bicycle Tour, a annual cycling event where musicians  take their gear and talent on bicycles and tour various parts of the UK visiting clubs, venues and pubs and preforming live gigs.

So come along for a late funk lunch! Entry’s free, but we’ll be passing a hat to cover the band’s expenses.
