Alex Starr is a Bristol-based photographer. In this exhibition – part of Bristol Festival of Photography – he presents a series of images from an ongoing project entitled ‘In the Mouth’. The pictures explore attitudes towards the environment, centred around Avonmouth, Bristol.
Through looking at the industries, landscape, and community of Avonmouth, the exhibition shows how the need to move towards a sustainble future sometimes conflicts with our fondness for the comforts we’re used to.
The exhibition is upstairs in The Hub and entry is free. It’ll be open throughout our opening hours between May 16 and 31, although there may be times when The Hub is being used for private meetings and so will be closed to the public for short periods. Please check in advance if you’re making a special trip.
