Bristol’s community bike cafe is rolling! The cafe on the ground floor serves healthy, hearty food with Mediterranean and middle eastern influences, while the workshop on the first floor offers friendly servicing and repairs at competitive prices. We’re also a hub for all things bike-related in Bristol, offering meeting space, events and a place in which to relax, discover, learn, and enjoy yourself.
We’re a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, which means that every penny you spend with us goes towards achieving our social aims. It took a year or so of hard graft to create Roll for the Soul, and the light and airy space that we’re in now is the result of many, many people’s efforts. Our crowdfunders kicked things off in autumn 2012, raising the first chunk of money that we needed to get started. Fast forward to summer 2013 and by the time we opened we’d had almost 500 volunteer hours of help fitting out the premises from a bunch of wonderful people. Roll for the Soul’s creation was truly a collective effort. It doesn’t belong to anyone, but it belongs to everyone. That’s the way we want it to stay. For Bristol’s bike riders, by Bristol’s bike riders.
