Life Cycle talk: Steve Ewens – LEJOG With My Eyes Shut (Thurs Jan 21)

Posted by: on Dec 19, 2015 | No Comments

EwensJoin Life Cycle for an inspiring and entertaining evening with LEJOG tandem cyclist Steve Ewens, on Thursday 21st January.

In 2012, having lost his sight and not cycled for 20 years, Steve Ewens was presented with a chance invitation to try out tandem cycling with Two’s Company. Fast forward three years and a Christmas day challenge from his brother, and Steve found himself on the back of a tandem about to embark on an epic 1,040 mile Lands End to John O’Groats ride. Come along and find out about Steve’s LEJOG adventures through inclement Scottish weather, a broken bike and 12 days in close proximity to his brother’s backside.  We’ll also hear about Steve’s personal journey of coming to terms with losing his sight and the positive impact that cycling has had on his life.

Please join us on Thursday 21st January, 7.30pm.

Tickets are just £5 if booked in advance and available to book online now via the Life Cycle website. All proceeds will go towards supporting Life Cycle, so please come along if you can – and bring a friend!

If you’d like to eat first, the RftS kitchen will be open, but please leave plenty of time as no food can be taken upstairs where the talk is happening.
