Takl: Anna Hughes, cycling the coastline of Britain

Posted by: on Jul 28, 2015 | No Comments

In 2011 Anna Hughes cycled the 4,000 mile coastline of the British mainland, looking for adventure. It was simple: follow the Thames until it reaches the sea, then follow the sea until it reaches the Thames again and finally back to London. But after epic highs, incredible lows, unforgettable scenery and unpronounceable place names, her simple idea turned into a compelling journey of self-discovery, and an eye-opening insight into what makes the island where she lives so special.

Anna’s book, Eat Sleep Cycle: a bike ride around the coast of Britain, was published in March, and this September she’ll be riding from Land’s End to John o’ Groats on a pedalling book tour. She’ll be visiting Roll for the Soul on Tuesday 8th September to give a talk about the ride and sign copies of her book.

Free entry, good coffee, cakes and beer. Pick up a signed copy of the book for a bargain £8!

Doors open at 6.30pm. Please note that the kitchen will be closed and we won’t be serving hot food at this event.
