Buy these things and be happy, attractive and successful
The season of rampant consumerism has eaten us and spat us out again. So what better way for us to celebrate the dawn of another year than by trying to sell you stuff? We’ve now got a little retail corner downstairs in the cafe rather than all tucked away up in the workshop, so have a look for cycling essentials, accessories and gifts.

Zombie Film Club! Back on Jan 23
Apart from a bit of CX there’s not much cycling on our big telly at the mo, so we’re turning it over to Zombie Film Club instead. Next one is Thurs Jan 31, 7.00pm to 10.00pm. The film will be a surprise, but we can guarantee that you’ll be able to get a burger, chips and a beer for £8 on the night.

Bristol £ members’ Christmas drinks
We’re super-chuffed to be hosting this year’s Bristol Pound Christmas drinks on Friday Dec 13. The £B office is just around the corner from us in St Nic’s, so it’s nice (and entirely appropriate!) to be keeping it local. The event’s open to all £B members, so come along and join us for a drink and a bite from 6pm to 10pm.

Bikes for sale!
So we’ve been busy renovating a few unwanted steeds and we now have a little fleet of second-hand bikes for sale. They’ve all been serviced and any worn out bits have been replaced with very good used or brand new parts. If you’re looking for something like one of these, you could grab yourself a right bargain.

Farcycal: London to Capetown by bicycle (talk, Nov 21, 7.30pm)
Hannah and Diarmaid set off by bike from London in August 2012 and arrived in Capetown, South Africa, at the end of May 2013. They’ve since moved to Bristol and will be giving a talk about their adventure at Roll for the Soul on Thursday Nov 21 at 7.30pm.

Postcards from the road: sketches from Bristol to Brindisi
From now until December 18, we’ll be hosting an exhibition of pen and watercolour sketches by local cycling artist Susie Ramsay. The exhibition, in our upstairs meeting room, The Hub, presents 45 6″ x 4″ drawings from Susie’s recent 3,000 km cycle tour from Bristol to the heel of Italy, Brindisi.
